Warner Bros. releases Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore trailer

Prepare to return to a world of magic and Muggles as Warner Bros. releases the full trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.

It’s hard to believe it’s been four long years since Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was released, but it’s almost time to return to the world of the Harry Potter prequel series. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is due for release on 15 April, 2022 and Warner Bros. has today dropped a full trailer for the third film in the franchise.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore has had its release date moved around a number of times due to the pandemic and the recasting of the villainous Gellert Grindelwald from Johnny Depp to Mads Mikkelsen. Although Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald wasn’t that well-received, the trailer for The Secrets of Dumbledore below gives us hope that the Wizarding World franchise will soon be back on track.

In addition, Warner Bros. has also revealed the full synopsis for the film, giving fans more information on what to expect from the next magical adventure:

‘Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?’

The only LEGO Harry Potter 2022 set confirmed to date is 76399 Hogwarts Magical Trunk on 1 March, but we’re still keeping our fingers crossed for possible Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore sets next year.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will arrive in cinemas around the world from 15 April, 2022.
