First LEGO Star Wars 2022 sets officially revealed

The first two LEGO Star Wars sets arriving in 2022 have been revealed as 75320 Snowtrooper Battle Pack and 75322 Hoth AT-ST.

Debuting on LEGO.com today, the two original trilogy sets appear purposefully-designed to accompany 75313 AT-AT – particularly 75320 Snowtrooper Battle Pack, which will allow you to fill all those empty seats in the massive walker’s interior.

As rumoured, the set that sees the return of battle packs to the LEGO Star Wars portfolio – following a year off in 2021 – includes three Snowtroopers and one Hoth Scout Trooper, alongside a speeder bike and E-Web blaster. The 105-piece set also includes regular blasters rather than the classic stud-shooters.

75320 Snowtrooper Battle Pack commands a premium price, however: you’ll need to spend £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99 to grab it when it launches in January. That’s far above and beyond previous battle packs of this size, and means you’ll need a significant investment to properly fill your AT-AT.

75322 Hoth AT-ST, meanwhile, also matches original rumours with minifigures of a snow-covered Chewbacca, a Hoth Rebel Trooper and an AT-ST Pilot. The chicken walker distinguishes itself from previous AT-STs with closed hatches, but most of the familiar beats are present, including a rotating head, moving legs and an opening hatch for access to the cockpit.

With 586 pieces in the box, 75322 Hoth AT-ST comes in at £44.99 in the UK, $49.99 in the US and €49.99 in Europe.

Both of these LEGO Star Wars sets will be available to purchase from January 1, 2022. Look out for our reviews early next month, and click here for a reminder of what else is rumoured to be on the way next year.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
