First wave of LEGO Star Wars 2023 sets confirmed
The first wave of LEGO Star Wars sets launching in 2023 will apparently include a new 501st Clone Troopers battle pack, a TIE Bomber and a Slave I Microfighter.
At least three new sets from a galaxy far, far away are due to land on shelves next year, presumably in January alongside new products from City, Marvel, NINJAGO and so on. According to LEGO Fan Media outlet Brickset, those sets will consist of 75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack, 75344 Boba Fett’s Starship Microfighter and 75347 TIE Bomber.
The latest addition to the Microfighters range follows in the footsteps of 75312 Boba Fett’s Starship in eschewing the historically canon name of Slave I, confirming that the 2021 set wasn’t a one-off: the LEGO Group has entirely done away with the ship’s original moniker. Like this year’s 75321 The Razor Crest Microfighter, the model will probably include its pilot as a minifigure.
75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack, meanwhile, is presumably positioned as a direct follow-up to 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers, which is retiring at the end of this year. Exactly which minifigures we’ll see in the set has yet to be officially confirmed, but EA’s Star Wars: Battlefront II’s trooper classes could potentially serve as inspiration.
Maybe the most interesting set in this trio is 75347 TIE Bomber, which is the first minifigure-scale incarnation of this vehicle since 2003’s 4479 TIE Bomber. A vehicle first seen in The Empire Strikes Back, and most recently in The Mandalorian, the Imperial fighter was originally included alongside the Nebulon-B Frigate and Republic Gunship in 2020’s LEGO Ideas poll to find the next Ultimate Collector Series set.
The Gunship ultimately won that vote – and materialised as 75309 Republic Gunship – but the LEGO Star Wars team has clearly seen an interest in the TIE Bomber, too (even if not enough to justify a full UCS set). Brickset hasn’t shared a piece count for the TIE Bomber, but 75345 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack is said to include 119 parts, while 75344 Boba Fett’s Starship Microfighter will apparently consist of 85 bricks.
Here’s a round-up of everything we know about the first wave of LEGO Star Wars 2023 sets so far.

Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
