First look at upcoming LEGO Adidas products

An online retailer has provided our first glimpse at the newly-announced range of LEGO Adidas products.

Last week, the LEGO Group and Adidas announced a new, multi-year partnership, beginning this December. The news followed the companies’ collaboration on the the sell-out LEGO A-ZX Series trainers.

Now, Chinese retailer Tmall has unveiled the first of the products borne out of the new partnership. And they’re already for sale, a little earlier than the original press release suggested.

Instagram user Dylan Chow spotted the branded clothing, which is targeted exclusively towards kids. The full range includes t-shirts, sweatpants, tracksuits, a jacket, shoes, and even a baby onesie. You can check out the colourful collection in the images below.

According to the original announcement, the LEGO x Adidas partnership will include footwear, apparel and hardware. The products on Tmall tick two of those boxes, so that just leaves the hardware.

Of course, this probably isn’t the only footwear and apparel we’ll see, either. The press release teased products for both adults and children, so we’ll likely see some more adult-focused gear in future. The collaboration will launch worldwide in December, before continuing into 2021 and beyond.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
