Get ready to rock with LEGO Ideas 21329 Fender Stratocaster

It’s time to hit the stage with LEGO Ideas 21329 Fender Stratocaster, the latest buildable instrument to come out of Billund.

Available now at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99, the 1,074-piece set takes Tomáš Letanay’s Music to our Ears contest entry and dials it up to 11, offering a fully-realised amp and two different colour schemes for the body of its iconic Fender guitar.

You’ll be able to build 21329 Fender Stratocaster in either black or red right out of the box, although as we’ve noted in our in-depth review, swapping between those hues isn’t all that easy. Regardless, you’ll still have a very fun time putting together the guitar – which sublimely replicates the strings of a real axe – and the incredibly detailed amp, including all its inner workings.

There’s also a pair of cables and a foot pedal to tie the entire set together, making for a complete package that should be very tempting to musicians and music fans alike. It’s also a more accessible LEGO instrument than last year’s 21323 Grand Piano, which retails for more than three times the price of 21329 Fender Stratocaster.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
