How many LEGO Batmans does it take to decorate a Christmas tree?

An ingenious LEGO fan has created what is potentially the most festive, yet sinister, Batman build ever seen.

Gotham’s most wanted have cheerfully dressed their Christmas tree with the dismembered head of their greatest foe. In place of baubles an assortment of Batsuit helmets, with faces left inside, provide simultaneously jolly and unnerving decoration.

A laughing Joker presides over the scene, merrily adorned with an elf hat from the Winter Village range.

The enormous variety of Batsuits that have been produced in LEGO form ensure that this tree is decked out in a colourful assortment of ornaments. Many of the less traditional suit colours are derived from the two series of The LEGO Batman Movie-themed Collectible Minifigures that were released in 2017 and 2018. Whilst pink may not be the best suit colour for crime-fighting, it certainly helps to jolly up the Christmas tree.

This spectacular build was created and shared by talented Instagram user lego__fun.

It was posted and submitted as an entry into fellow Instagrammer zen_bricks’ current photo competition. Followers of the popular profile have been challenged to create the wackiest Christmas tree build they can imagine. The brief encourages funny submissions that feature a zanily-dressed tree or a bizarre decorating scene.

Entrants have until December 17 to submit an image, with the prize being a permanent showcase on the much-followed profile. The winner will be revealed on Christmas Eve.
