How to build LEGO Creator Expert 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery

You can now watch LEGO Creator Expert 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery come together in an exclusive time-lapse video from Brick Fanatics.

We’ve spent the past week piecing together the enormous 2,354-piece set for our extensive and in-depth review, which you can check out in full right here. But we’ve also taken the opportunity to film the construction process behind the LEGO Group’s latest and greatest Space Shuttle, offering a peek at how it assembles into the hugely impressive Discovery and the Hubble Space Telescope.

Hit play on the video below to see it for yourself. As we explained in our review, the build is really one of two halves, with the application of those very many chrome stickers proving the turning point. But while the final stages of the construction process may become a little repetitive, they can’t detract from just how brilliant the overall experience is.

If you’d like to give it a go for yourself, you can now order 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery directly from LEGO.com. If you do so today (April 20), you’ll also earn double VIP points on your purchase, equivalent to £17 / $20 / €18 in rewards vouchers to spend on future purchases.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
