Hugh Bonneville makes LEGO brick donation

Downtown Abbey star Hugh Bonneville has donated his collection of LEGO to New Milton Library, Bournemouth, UK. After a radio appearance during which he mentioned needing to sort out his family’s collection of LEGO bricks, staff at the library seized the opportunity and reached out to the actor. He responded by scheduling a time to drop off vast quantities of LEGO pieces, with the intention that they are available for children to use and play with at the library.

Local Councillor Andrew Gibson told the Bournemouth Echo:

“We’re very grateful that Hugh could come down with the family Lego and I know the staff and children at New Milton library were thrilled to meet him.”

LEGO clubs are increasingly popular at local libraries and schools, offering a great opportunity for budding young builders to bond over the brick.
