While you wait to get your hands on the newly-revealed 75308 R2-D2, examine the latest LEGO Star Wars set from every angle with our full gallery of images.
The 2,314-piece astromech droid will launch at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores on May 1, right on cue for this year’s May the Fourth promotions. And while that’s technically only a few days away, it still feels like an eternity when new LEGO Star Wars sets are involved.
Thankfully, we’ve at least got a full suite of photos of 75308 R2-D2 to tide us over. Browse through the gallery below to take in everything this buildable version of the Star Wars galaxy’s most iconic droid has to offer, including multiple functions and an exclusive ’50 years of Lucasfilm’ printed brick.
Picking up 75308 R2-D2 during its launch weekend should see you qualify for this year’s May the Fourth promo set, 40451 Tatooine Homestead, but the LEGO Group hasn’t yet confirmed the required spend threshold for its latest microscale diorama.
For more on 75308 R2-D2 – which isn’t an Ultimate Collector Series set, apparently – check out the full announcement here, or watch the buildable droid’s functions in action by clicking here.

Author Profile
- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
