Is a new LEGO set launching for Batman Day?

It’s Batman Day, or so DC Comics has decided in recent years, and fans are expecting a LEGO set to be released for the occasion.

A few weeks ago, a new LEGO Batman set was promised to be coming for Batman Day… but there is no word yet on what today’s new release is going to be.

“Global partners such as LEGO, SpinMaster and Funko will release exclusive Batman products in celebration of the DC Super Hero’s big day,” the press release, reported by Batman News, declared. Nothing has been announced or revealed yet though and today is Batman Day.

Batman Day is an opportunity for Warner Bros. and DC Comics to market the Dark Knight like no other day of the year, with announcements expected for comic books, video games and products lines.

Three new sets recently launched based on the character – 76158 Batboat The Penguin Pursuit! (review), 76159 Joker’s Trike Chase and 76160 Mobile Bat Base (review). Fans in the US can get 77906 Wonder Woman, originally planned as a San Diego Comic Con exclusive.

Fans recently got a first look at Matt Reeves’ upcoming film, The Batman.
