LEGO Ideas closes first 2021 review with record-breaking numbers

The qualification period for LEGO Ideas’ first 2021 review has officially closed, with a new record of 57 product ideas gaining 10,000 supporters.

Whether any of these fan-made creations to become reality will be decided by the LEGO Review Board. They’re still deciding on 2020’s third round, so it’ll be a nervous wait for those builders who made it through to the review stage.

57 product ideas with 10,000 supporters give this round the highest number of accepted submissions ever, sailing past the former record in the second 2020 review. The competition is fierce, and it’ll be interesting to see whether the momentum keeps up as we move into this year’s second qualifying period. Any successful ideas from now until September 6 will be now be included in 2021’s Second Review.

LEGO Ideas had to remove one entry, Stadium Tour, from their list, apparently due to an issue with IP rights. They reminded members on their website to follow the guidelines for intellectual properties closely.

You can see the last entry to make it into this round, Bike Lanes, along with a list of all the other 56 sets. As soon as we hear what builds are approved by the LEGO Review Board, we’ll let you know. In the meantime, start getting excited for the next round of entries with Imperial Island Fort.
