150th LEGO BrickHeadz rumoured to be a Star Wars: The Clone Wars character

The identity of the 150th LEGO BrickHeadz is rumoured to be a fan-favourite character from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.

The LEGO Group’s most enduring licensed theme saw off stiff competition from potential Jaws, Minecraft and Lilo & Stitch sets in last year’s LEGO Ideas poll to find the 150th BrickHeadz. However, the specific character chosen from the winning franchise was entirely within the hands of the designers.

A certain subset of LEGO Star Wars fans had campaigned online for Jar-Jar Binks to get the statuette treatment, but according to Instagram user lego_club_news, the 150th BrickHeadz character will actually be Ahsoka Tano.

There’s no word yet on whether Ahsoka’s BrickHeadz will take inspiration from her appearance in Star Wars: The Clone Wars or Star Wars Rebels, but given her most recent minifigure – which is currently available in both 75283 Armored Assault Tank and 75310 Duel on Mandalore – has drawn from the former, it wouldn’t be unwise to assume the statuette will follow suit.

We also don’t know when this BrickHeadz set will land on shelves, but whenever it happens, it will mark a milestone moment for the theme of Funko Pop-style collectible characters. For now, even the identity of the next LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz is still just a rumour, so treat it with caution until confirmed by the LEGO Group.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
