January issue of official LEGO Star Wars Magazine to include Snowtrooper minifigure

It looks as if the January issue of the official LEGO Star Wars Magazine will include a free Snowtrooper minifigure cover gift.

Each issue of the official LEGO Star Wars Magazine includes a cover-mounted LEGO gift and character collectors are always keen to see if a minifigure will be the latest freebie. Issue 77 of Immediate Media’s publication is currently on UK shelves and features a mini-scale Resistance A-wing build, with Issue 78 out in December to include a tiny Republic Gunship.

Following a few months of vehicle-based free gifts, it appears that Issue 79 will boast a Snowtrooper minifigure. Instagram user lego_club_news has taken pictures of the latest issue, which is usually out a few weeks earlier in Germany. The next month page shows a Snowtrooper minifigure complete with blaster as the cover gift, with the issue on sale January 3.

The free gifts for the UK version of the official LEGO Star Wars Magazine are usually the same as their German counterparts, so it’s almost certain we’ll receive the same item. This is a great opportunity for LEGO Star Wars fans to add more affordable Snowtrooper minifigures to fill out the upcoming 75313 AT-AT. That monster set only includes four Snowtrooper minifigures (and a Snowtrooper Commander) while the more expensive than usual 75320 Hoth Battle Pack adds an additional three Snowtroopers.
