LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga file size potentially revealed

The file size for LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga may have been revealed, possibly hinting at how big the game will be compared to others.

As spotted by Freakishly Geek on Twitter, the Xbox store is reported to have shown a file size under the product listing for LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga earlier today.

The listing, which has since been updated to remove the information as seen in a second Tweet from the user, states that the game is about 52.16 GB on Xbox. Freakishly Geek later clarified that they saw the listing on the Xbox Series S, indicating that the file size was formatted specifically for the next-generation console.

Compared to other LEGO Games available on the platform as said by Finder, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’s listed file size is much larger than other titles such as LEGO Dimensions at 16.13 GB. This may not be surprising following the extensive delay and improvements that can be seen in recent screenshots from the Gamescom trailer.

Considering the graphics, gameplay mechanics and vast amount of planets and locations in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, a comparably large file size for the LEGO Games title might be expected. However, the removal of this information may also mean that it was inaccurate, so treat it with caution until an official announcement.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will release in spring 2022 and feature a variety of minifigure DLC packs as well as around 300 playable characters in the base game. Whilst waiting for the next official news drop, you can always rewatch the latest trailer for the newest LEGO game.
