Largest LEGO mosaic unveiled in Malaysia

As part of the current marketing push in Malaysia, the LEGO team there have supervised the building of the biggest LEGO mosaic.

The build took 87,000 bricks and measured 8 metres by 3 metres, according to the Sun Daily.

The website reports that many members of the community were invited to the mosaic unveiling:

Representatives from 10 care homes, 120 children, and 23 single mothers were celebrated at the event. They were joined by Federal Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, Kuala Lumpur Pavilion Executive Chairman Puan Seri Cindy Lim, Pavilion KL CEO of retail Datuk Joyce Yap, and CEO of Pavilion REIT Philip Ho.

Alongside the mosaic, the local Malaysia LUG built a large Kampung House diorama with LEGO bricks, which has a smaller version that is part of the four mini builds that the LEGO Group are releasing as part of the activity. The LUG’s build uses 100,000 elements to represent a Malaysian village.
