LEGO for Adults 10284 Camp Nou – FC Barcelona designer video revealed

The latest LEGO designer video for LEGO for Adults 10284 Camp Nou – FC Barcelona is now available, touring us through the iconic stadium.

The LEGO Group has now uploaded the designer video for 10284 Camp Nou – FC Barcelona to YouTube, giving the latest model in the adult-focused theme the same level of designer insight and exploration as other creations before it.

Senior Designer Rok Zgalin Kobe heads the video expedition through the microscale build, offering some secrets regarding the development of FC Barcelona’s dedicated set, including how the bricks available made for a useful method of capturing Camp Nou’s hollow concrete structure for which it is known for.

Another detail highlight by Rok is the depiction of a winning score on the electronic boards, leaving us to wonder if there might be some minor bias in that 5-0 total. A microscale recreation of the team’s Barça Bus is also featured, including the familiar tagline shown as a sticker on the side.

“The biggest challenge in this set is actually reconciling the oval geometry of the stadium with what is essentially only rectangular bricks,” said LEGO designer Rok Zgalin Kobe. “Fans will notice that we aren’t using any round bricks in the set, so all the shapes, all the different stands, all the angles are recreated using basic bricks and slopes.”

LEGO for Adults 10284 Camp Nou – FC Barcelona is available now from physical and online official stores and VIP members purchasing the set will also receive a free 40485 FC Barcelona Celebration until September 12 or whilst stocks last.
