LEGO Winter Village Collection 10293 Santa’s Visit price and release date confirmed

The LEGO Group has confirmed the price and release date for this year’s brand new Winter Village Collection set, 10293 Santa’s Visit.

First unveiled by LEGO.com Taiwan and Singapore yesterday, the 1,445-piece set will debut on September 16 for VIP members, before going on sale on October 1 for everyone else. Joining the LEGO Group’s loyalty program is absolutely free, though, so there’s no reason not to sign up if you’re keen to get your hands on 10293 Santa’s Visit early.

The snow-covered inverted-corner house represents a return to more traditional Winter Village sets, following two years of fantastical builds in 10267 Gingerbread House and 10275 Elf Club House. And it’s all built around that core Christmas concept of – as the set’s name suggests – Santa Claus delivering presents to children.

“The holiday season is always a magical time for my family,” said the set’s designer, Chris McVeigh. “It’s been fun to inject a few of my own family traditions and experiences into this set, from the new Christmas cookie to the hidden gifts.”

10293 Santa’s Visit will retail for £79.99 in the UK, $99.99 in the US and from €89.99 in Europe. While you wait for its VIP launch, catch up on recent Winter Village Collection sets including 10267 Gingerbread House and 10275 Elf Club House, both of which are available now at LEGO.com.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
