LEGO 40516 Everyone is Awesome wins LGBT Award

LEGO 40516 Everyone is Awesome is an award-winning model as the inclusive build has won at the British LGBT Awards for 2022.

When it launched in 2021 after employees encouraged designer Matthew Ashton to share his design for 40516 Everyone is Awesome, we didn’t know what the response to the LGBTQIA+ model would be, especially after it was unavailable in select countries at launch.

However, the hard work has paid off as on June 24,2022, designer Matthew Ashton was in attendance at the British LGBT Awards to accept an award for 40516 Everone is Awesome after it was nominated.

This isn’t the first award that the set has won, though it is the first as part of an LGBTQIA+ event. 40516 Everyone is Awesome previously won the Specialty Toy of the Year award at The Toy of the Year Awards 2022.

You can still get your copy of 40516 Everyone is Awesome after its availability was extended. At the time of writing, its currently not scheduled to retire until the end of 2023, meaning there’s plenty of time to grab the 346-piece model.
