One of the Haunted Mansions from the Disney theme parks may be scheduled for a model later in 2022, according to a new listing.
Online price comparison site Brickmerge.de has listed 40521 Mini Disney The Haunted Mansion for release later this year, potentially revealing that another Disney Parks icon is set to be recreated in bricks.
The name listed by the source suggests that the build could be a follow-up to 40478 Mini Disney Castle, which was based on Disney World’s Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom park. This could tie into the 50th-anniversary celebrations currently taking place at the resort, just like the first model did.
However, there is more than one Haunted Mansion attraction around the world with one at Disneyland and Disneyland Paris, pictured in the middle and right respectively of the above gallery. Disneyland Paris will also be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the resort from March 6, 2022. Tokyo Disneyland also has a Haunted Mansion, though its appearance is nearly identical to the ride in Disney World, with an aged design depicting it as run-down and abandoned.
The listing is labelled as promotional and does not have a potential price or part count, but does feature a similar set number and naming convention to the officially released 40478 Mini Disney Castle.
As usual, these rumours are not confirmed officially by the LEGO Group and should be treated with caution until announced otherwise.
