The LEGO Group celebrates their 90th anniversary tomorrow

Tomorrow, August 10, 2022, is World Play Day, also known as the 90th anniversary of the LEGO Group and there are many ways to get involved.

After many celebrations leading up to the event, the LEGO Group’s 90th anniversary is finally upon us. From free builds in LEGO stores to a range of models specially designed for the date, it’s easy to join the celebrations wherever you are.

For those who can physically visit a LEGO store tomorrow, you’ll be able to get a free LEGO brick build between 11:00am and 1:00pm in the UK. In the newly-renovated Leicester Square flagship store, you can also visit a 90th-anniversary exhibition. The flagship store also reopens on the 90th anniversary of the LEGO Group.

Another way to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the LEGO Group is to get building with sets and pieces old and new. Whether you’ve purchased 10497 Galaxy Explorer, 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle or 11021 90 Years of Play in advance, have another model you’ve been saving for the day or prefer a bucket of mixed bricks, it’s an easy way to get involved in the celebrations.

Whatever way you prefer to celebrate, the 90th anniversary of the LEGO Group is nearly here as we remember just how much the company has changed from when it first made wooden toys.
