LEGO Art 21226 Art Project receives an Easter makeover

Another set of alternate instructions has been released for LEGO VIP members, this time for 21226 Art Project, suggesting that they will continue.

The VIP Rewards Center has recently added a new set of alternate instructions for 21226 Art Project based on Easter designs, joining those that were already released for 31203 World Map, 31202 Disney’s Mickey Mouse and 31201 Harry Potter Hogwarts Crests.

For those who may not remember, the already-available lot of seven alternate designs were released previously for free, but not just to VIP members. They were available on about sections of the official online store to everyone. They eventually found a new home in the VIP Rewards Center, meaning the LEGO Group was only making these instructions available again by adding them as rewards, rather than providing something new.

However, that’s not to say that there’s anything wrong with that as the appearance of these Easter portraits indicates that more new alternate models can be added to this collection over time, though at the minute it appears to be limited to LEGO Art and the themes it depicts within it.

We’ll have to see how else these rewards expand in the future for VIP members, though fans are constantly thinking up imaginative alternate models for existing sets, such as a Rancor pit made from 31120 Medieval Castle.
