LEGO Black Friday promotion 40338 Christmas Tree review

Let’s take a look at 40338 Christmas Tree, available as part of the LEGO Group’s 2019 Black Friday (or Brick Friday) promotion

Price: Free with purchases of £120 / $120 / €120 Pieces: 392 Available: Nov 27 – Dec 2

The LEGO Group are packing this year’s Black Friday week with promotional items, so much so they are rightly renaming the holiday sale as Brick Friday.

Alongside 30% discount on selected sets throughout the week and a Brick Friday minifigure free with purchases of £75 (but confusingly for its name only available on Cyber Monday…) comes a large Christmas Tree build.

Free with purchases of £120, $120 or €120 during the VIP preview weekend and again during the Black Friday weekend, it measures 8.5 inches tall  and over 4.5 inches wide, standing at once as both a decent-sized Christmas decoration and a credible large scale Christmas tree for your minifigures.

The tree includes a clever play function built into it, whereby turning the top section to it will move the toy trains on the bottom level around the tree’s base.

It’s a smart, fun set that will look just as good in a CITY display as it would on an office desk or as part of a living room’s Christmas decorations. If you want to add some LEGO to your Christmas display, this isn’t to be missed.

Thank you to the LEGO Group for providing this product for review. 40338 Christmas Tree is available from Thursday whilst stocks last online at www.LEGO.com and in official LEGO stores up to and including Monday December 2, free with purchases of £120, $120 or €120.
