LEGO Botanical Collection 10281 Bonsai Tree is finally available again

The lesser-spotted LEGO Botanical Collection 10281 Bonsai Tree is finally back in stock and available to order at LEGO.com in the UK.

The 878-piece tribute to the delicate art of Bonsai cultivation has spent almost the entirety of its lifespan off virtual shelves since launching in January, as the LEGO Group has struggled to meet the absolutely overwhelming demand for the larger of its two Botanical Collection models.

Now, the companion piece to 10280 Flower Bouquet has seemingly planted firm roots in the official online store, as it’s currently listed as ‘available now’ – completely bypassing the ‘back order’ stage. That means if you place your order today, you could have your hands on the set as soon as early next week.

You’ll need to add an extra £5.01 of products to your basket to qualify for free shipping, but given the wealth of sets currently available at LEGO.com – including the entire Brick Fanatics Top 20 LEGO Sets List – you shouldn’t find that too tough a challenge.

While that’s great news for UK fans, US builders aren’t so lucky at the moment: 10281 Bonsai Tree is still marked ‘temporarily out of stock’ stateside. If you want to be among the first to know when it’s back, sign up for our stock alerts and we’ll email you as soon as it returns.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
