LEGO Castle Collectable Coin now available for VIPs
The LEGO Group has launched a new series of collectable coins through its VIP Rewards Centre, starting with a Castle-themed throwback.
You’ll need to spend 1,150 VIP points to grab the first coin, which is branded with the logo from 2007’s Fantasy Era Castle knights. The reverse side of the gold-coloured coin carries engraved LEGO and VIP logos.
For 700 points, meanwhile, you can pick up a display case for your collectable coins – the preview image for which reveals the next four in the series. Classic Space, Pirates and Octan will all be getting commemorative tokens in the near future, while the fifth coin appears to be just a larger LEGO logo.
There’s no word yet on when the rest of those coins will be available to redeem, but it’s probably worth holding on to your VIP points if you’re after a full set. If the redemption cost remains consistent across the entire series, you’re looking at an investment of 6,450 points (including the case).
Of course, if you want both the Castle coin and the case, you’ll need to place two separate orders at LEGO.com, and either pay individual shipping for each one, or spend at least £50 / $50 on other LEGO products to qualify for free shipping. Such are the limitations of the VIP Rewards Centre, which only allows you to redeem one physical reward per order.
The LEGO Group is currently offering some incentive to bulk out your orders, though, with double VIP points on CITY 60292 Town Center and NINJAGO 71737 X-1 Ninja Charger and a free LEGO CITY polybag with purchases above £40 / $40.

Author Profile
- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
