LEGO CITY summer 2021 sets delayed to October?

New rumours suggest that a handful of this summer’s planned LEGO CITY sets may have been postponed to October.

That’s according to Promobricks, which reports the reason we’re yet to see images of the previously-announced stunt show-themed sets is that they’ve been delayed beyond their planned summer release.

Word of 10 LEGO CITY sets based on stunt shows first appeared online back in January, courtesy of a Spanish retailer. The same source also published initial info on the recently-revealed wave of wildlife sets, suggesting the likes of 60293 Stunt Park and 60294 Stunt Show Truck do exist – we just haven’t seen them yet.

Promobricks hasn’t given a possible reason for the sets’ assumed delay, but says we’ll be waiting a while to see any official images of the models. All we have for now are their set names and numbers, which are as follows:

lego

60293 Stunt Park
60294 Stunt Show Truck
60295 Stunt Show Arena
60296 Wheelie Stunt Bike
60297 Demolition Stunt Bike
60298 Rocket Stunt Bike
60299 Stunt Competition
60309 Selfie Stunt Bike
60310 Chicken Stunt Bike
60311 Fire Stunt Bike

Bear in mind that those names may not be final, but given they were listed by an online retailer, their very existence has a little more credibility than the rumours currently floating around Instagram for other themes.

We’ll bring you more on the planned stunt show sets as and when we get it. For now, you can check out the rest of this summer’s LEGO CITY sets here and here.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
