LEGO Creator 30579 Easter Chick Egg is now available online in the UK

The LEGO Group has done the sensible thing, and made the previously store-exclusive freebie 30579 Easter Chick Egg available with online orders in the UK.

Every single UK LEGO Store is currently closed under national lockdown rules, and won’t reopen until April 12 at the very earliest. That’s a week after the promo window for 30579 Easter Chick Egg closes, which means we were effectively looking at a repeat of the shambles that was February’s 30539 Lloyd’s Quad Bike.

Just like 30579 Easter Chick Egg, that NINJAGO polybag was planned as an in-store promo – and ultimately kept that way, with no last-minute availability at LEGO.com. Fortunately, you won’t have to miss out on this year’s seasonal polybag, which is currently free with a £40 spend online.

That will put your order just £10 short of free delivery, and only £20 short of qualifying for this year’s other Easter-themed gift-with-purchase, 40449 Easter Bunny’s Carrot House. Given standard delivery costs £3.95 alone, it’s definitely worth topping up your basket to reach that higher £60 threshold – even if you just sell on the extra freebie.

At the moment, 30579 Easter Chick Egg is still available exclusively in LEGO Stores in the US. Retail stores are actually open stateside, so it’s unlikely that will change any time soon, but we’ll let you know if the polybag pops up online.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
