LEGO Creator 31109 Pirate Ship changes to back order status

LEGO Creator 31109 Pirate Ship has changed from in stock to back order status at LEGO.com, meaning fans can still order the galleon while it is on a double VIP points promotion.

LEGO.com is offering double VIP points on LEGO Creator 31109 Pirate Ship, which has proven so popular it is currently on back order – meaning that fans can place an order for the impressive vessel, but it won’t set sail until more stock arrives. It’s good news for collectors, as while it is on back order they can still collect the double VIP points.

Fans in the USA will have to wait until August to get their orders in on the set.

As with all sets in the Creator theme, there are three alternate models to build – the main ship, plus a skull island and a tavern. They can only be built one at a time, so those who are too taken with LEGO Pirates will be tempted into buying three copies.

The set is so appealing that, like 21322 Pirates of Barrcuda Bay, 31109 Pirate Ship has made Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO Sets List.

Here is the official product description:

The high seas are calling! Swashbuckling adventures await pirate fans in the LEGO Creator 3in1 Pirate Ship (31109) toy. This awesome, detailed set features a pirate ship with moving sails, cannons and a cabin with opening roof and sides, 3 minifigures, buildable figures including a shark and a parrot, plus lots of other brick-built details and cool accessories to jump-start play.

At least 3 different build-and-play experiences are possible with this LEGO Creator 3in1 toy set. Kids can build a Pirate Ship, then rebuild it into the Pirates’ Inn or a creepy Skull Island. Or they can let their creativity loose and design something new.
