The LEGO designers behind LEGO Creator Expert 10272 Old Trafford – Manchester United go around the actual stadium while providng fun facts about the set.

While it cannot live up the comic excellence of the LEGO Group’s tie-in video starring Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel, the latest behind-the-scenes LEGO video sees LEGO Design Master Mike Psiaki and Senior Designer Carl Merriam present LEGO Creator Expert 10272 Old Trafford – Manchester United from the actual Old Trafford stadium.

In the video, the designers pick out key aspects of the real stadium and point out how they incorporated these details in the LEGO model, while passing a football back and forth.

“It was really important for us to capture the detail of how many seats there are inside the stadium and we actually found that this classic profile brick did an amazing job of capturing all those seats,” Mike explains.

10272 Old Trafford – Manchester United recreates one of the world’s most famous football stadiums in exacting detail. It measures 18.5cm high, 47cm long and 39cm wide. As well as the required step-by-step directions, the instruction book includes information on the stadium and a spotlight on the designers behind the build.
