LEGO DC Super Villains officially announced

The next LEGO video game title has been officially announced, with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment releasing a trailer for DC Super Villains.

In the upcoming video game, LEGO DC Super Villains, TT Games will allow fans to create their own super villain and play as the character through the game. This unique character will play a pivotal role in the story, supported by all of the most memorable bad guys. DC has collaborated with the video game team to develop the story.

“LEGO DC Super Villains provides players a fun and humorous way to cause mischief by unleashing their DC Super-Villain’s sinister powers and amusing abilities,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games. “With an unprecedented amount of customisation options to choose from, players can create and customise their character at the start of the story, unlocking new powers and abilities as they progress through the funniest LEGO game to date.”

The plot of the game is that the Justice League has disappeared, with the alternate Justice Syndicate easily defeated by the Legion of Doom. A mismatched band of villains must come together to foil the dastardly plot that the fake heroes have concocted.

Fans will be able to get a Deluxe Edition of DC Super Villains that includes access to all of the Season Pass content, including the DC Super Villains: TV Series DLC Character Pack. An exclusive minifigure, Lex Luthor Superman, also comes with the physical version of the Deluxe and Standard Editions, while digital consumers will receive the Justice League Dark DLC Character Pack with the Deluxe Edition.

LEGO DC Super Villains will be released on October 19, 2018.
