LEGO Friends summer 2020 Play Cube set names

The names for the second series of LEGO Friends Magic Cubes have been revealed.

A new format is coming to LEGO Friends, with Play Cubes offering small plastic cases with a selection of bricks and a mystery item. Series 1 will launch in January, with Series 2 seemingly set to arrive during summer 2020.

Brickset has listed the names of the second batch of sets, which provide the same characters, but have them involved in different activities:

41405 Andrea’s Play Cube – Pet Shop
41406 Stephanie’s Play Cube – Beauty Salon
41407 Olivia’s Play Cube – Sweet Shop
41408 Mia’s Play Cube – Cinema
41409 Emma’s Play Cube – Toy Store

While they may not be the most appealing sets to adult fans, the small collectible products follow some recent trends in the toy industry of focusing on unboxing and a mystery element.

A number of theme park based sets were released in the theme this year; 41337 Underwater Loop and 41373 Funny Octopus Ride, along with nature rescue sets, including 41378 Dolphins Rescue Mission, 41380 Lighthouse Rescue Center and 41381 Rescue Mission Boat. A double VIP points promotion is currently running on LEGO Friends 41375 Heartlake City Amusement Pier.
