LEGO Ghostbusters 10274 Ecto-1 rumoured to be detailed adult set

A new rumour suggests that Ghostbusters fans will be building LEGO 10274 Ecto-1 next year, a detailed model inspired by the classic movie vehicle.

Back in October of 2019, Brick Fanatics shared the news that Ghostbusters was rumoured to return to the brick. With Ghostbusters: Afterlife delayed by a year as a result of the impact that the coronavirus pandemic has had on the film industry, it seems any product based on the film has also been pushed back.

Now, Brotherfromanotherbrick and Vanslego have shared a new rumour on the Eurobricks message boards – that next year’s Ghostbusters set will be 10274 Ecto-1, a Creator Expert style detailed rendition of the iconic vehicle. The price is alleged to be around $200.

Given the nostalgia that grown-ups have for Ghostbusters and lack of awareness of the property among children, it makes sense that the LEGO Group would opt for one of the sleek black boxes and 18+ branding for this release.

Fans will be curious about whether 10274 is the only Ghostbusters set on the way or if minifigure scale models will be released as well.
