LEGO Group employee shares tips on encouraging diversity

The LEGO Group has shared a real-life tip on inclusivity from one of their employees in the Czech Republic.

On their LinkedIn page, the LEGO Group regularly shares snippets of information from people all across their company, from LEGO set designers to warehouse employees. Their latest employee in the spotlight is Michal, a shift leader working in a factory in the Czech Republic.

“I have colleagues with different nationalities – Czechs, Serbs, Azerbaijanis, Ukrainians, Croats and Slovaks – with different backgrounds, identities and age – all truly role-modelling inclusivity,” explains Michal.

The shift leader went on to offer a pro-tip on how to create more inclusivity in teams and departments, something that has proved very successful for his own team.

“As a shift leader, I use the wonderful diversity in my team to regularly swap around members within the teams,” says Michal. “This way, all team members get the opportunity to get to know each other better. For instance, those from different countries learn the local language more easily and it works wonderfully for us. I think we should focus on what brings us together.”
