The LEGO Group’s social media post reveals artistic links to sets

A post on the LEGO Group’s Instagram page has revealed a mini LEGO art gallery with links to a number of existing and upcoming sets.

The LEGO Group certainly seems to be going all-in recently when it comes to brick-based works of art. LEGO Art 31206 The Rolling Stones is due out next month and you can check out our full review of the set right here. We’ve also taken an in-depth look at the upcoming LEGO Ideas 21333 The Starry Night here and there are even rumours of a potential LEGO Art Andy Warhol set in the works.

Now the LEGO Group’s social media team has created its own mini art gallery in an Instagram post, with a series of images based on existing sets, but showcased as framed paintings. On display are a number of works of art being perused by minifigures, with each numbered piece linking back to LEGO sets that are all currently still available or due to launch soon

Included in the virtual gallery are references to 10270 Bookshop, 10297 Boutique Hotel, 41711 Emma’s Art School and 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens. Each of the paintings represents a LEGO piece or image included in those sets, whether it be a Moby Dick book cover, an El Cubo Fine Art poster, an art school daubing or post-modern interpretation of an elaborate five-tiered ninja house.

LEGO Friends 41711 Emma’s Art School will launch on May 29 in the US and then on June 1 in the UK and Europe. LEGO Art 31206 The Rolling Stones and LEGO Ideas 21333 The Starry Night will both be available from June 1.
