LEGO Harry Potter 30628 Monster Book of Monsters free in EU LEGO Stores

LEGO Harry Potter 30628 Monster Book of Monsters is currently being given away as a gift-with-purchase in European LEGO Stores.

That’s according to Hoth Bricks, which reports the 320-piece buildable book is free with a €75 spend. It’s an in-store-only offer for the moment, though, so you’ll have to grab your face mask to pick it up. There’s no word yet on whether it will be available through LEGO.com.

30628 Monster Book of Monsters initially showed up as a gift-with-purchase at a LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Shanghai. It’s since been found on sale at another LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Atlanta, and given away with a $75 spend at Barnes and Noble in the USA.

According to multiple UK LEGO Stores, though, the promo won’t be coming to the UK until next year – if at all. We’ll keep you updated with more info as we get it, but here’s hoping it does eventually make its way here.

That said, aside from the stickers used to decorate its eyes and title, nothing about the promo is exclusive. If you were so inclined, then, you could use the building instructions to assemble it at home. It might not look exactly the same, but you’ll still get to enjoy the fun snapping function.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
