LEGO Harry Potter summer 2022 wave revealed, including Deathly Hallows set
The LEGO Group has revealed seven brand new Wizarding World sets launching this summer, including the first based explicitly on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
76403 The Ministry of Magic’s minifigure line-up plants it firmly in Deathly Hallows territory, featuring the first LEGO versions of Albert Runcorn, Mafalda Hopkirk, Reg and Mary Cattermole, Pius Thicknesse and Corban Yaxley. Despite including 12 minifigures, though, the 990-piece set isn’t even the biggest in the new wave.
That honour belongs to 76408 12 Grimmauld Place, which includes nine minifigures and 1,083 pieces for $119.99. The open-backed building can slide together or apart to conceal or reveal the hidden headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix, just as in the movie of the same name. Also among this latest batch of sets are new Hogwarts additions, a displayable dragon and the first Shrieking Shack since 2004.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

It’s stretching a point to say The Ministry of Magic set has 12 minifigures. It really only has 9 but Harry, Ron and Hermione can transform by turning the head around into the characters they impersonated.
It also seems strange that people are saying this is he first Deathly Hallows set when 4865 The Forbidden Forest is clearly from Deathly Hallows. It is also generally considered that 4867 Hogwarts is from the final film.
