LEGO Hidden Side roadshow brings 70423 Paranormal Intercept Bus 3000 to Germany

A LEGO Hidden Side roadshow is seeing fans check out the new range inside a real yellow school bus.

Set in the quite American town of Newbury, one of the iconic sets in LEGO Hidden Side is the 70423 Paranormal Intercept Bus 3000, a souped-up traditional yellow school bus. To promote the theme, just such a bus is travelling around Germany.

PromoBricks has shared images from the event that were taken at the tour’s Sindelfingen stop by a LEGO fan named Jogi. The little event gives fans the opportunity to try out the new app with the sets that are on display and take home a souvenir photo.

In an exclusive interview with Brick Fanatics, LEGO Senior Product Lead Murray Andrews explained how this new theme was developed to combine physical building and digital action. The action is set in the town of Newbury, where there are spooky goings-on are – thankfully, Jack and Parker can se their phones to see what is going in the Hidden Side.

“Our years of experience pioneering the convergence of technology and physical play have taught us that kids expect exciting play experiences that move seamlessly between physical and digital worlds – something we call fluid play,” said Tom Donaldson, Senior Vice President, LEGO Creative Play Lab in a statement announcing the new theme.
