LEGO hideaway entered in Shed of the Year contest

In the Shed of the Year competition, a sizable wooden shack is housing one man’s LEGO collection.

Each year, the Shed of the Year contest sees people show off their sheds. One particular entrant this year will catch the eye of LEGO fans, and perhaps even inspire some envy.

According to the competition website, the contest “celebrates every conceivable style, shape and size of the shed. From the traditional to the unconventional and everything in between, Readersheds has them all.”

Geoff Pike built the first cabin in his set 12 years ago, but did not start using it for his LEGO hobby until three years ago. It was LEGO Technic that brought him back to the bricks, with the interest tying in with his modern railway enthusiasm. Since then he added a second cabin.

Oh, and yes, there is a swimming pool that Geoff also built himself. Clearly it isn’t just plastic bricks that he is handy with.

With the competition focused more on the style and architecture of the shed than its contents,it is unlikely that Geoff will be this year’s winner.

Does this live up to Simon Pickard’s five purpose built LEGO sheds? That is for Brick Fanatics readers to decide…
