LEGO Ideas 21314 TRON: Legacy Lightcycle set designer video

A new video from the LEGO Group on YouTube sees the designers behind LEGO Ideas 21314 TRON: Legacy Lightcycle discuss the upcoming set.

LEGO Ideas 21314 TRON: Legacy Lightcycle set will launch on March 30, and to increase fan anticipation, a new designer video gives a little peek inside the design process. Junya Suzuki explains how he turned BrickBrosUK’s project into an official set based on the Disney movie TRON: Legacy, and even shows off two lightcycles he built based on the original TRON film. Mark Tranter, the graphic designer who worked on the set, discusses the choice of minifigures.

The set builds two lightcycles and a display base, with three movie authentic minifigures included. Priced at [geot exclude_country=”United States”]£29.99[/geot] [geot country=”United States”]$34.99[/geot], the model comprises of 230 pieces. TRON: Legacy was released in 2010, a sequel to the cult sci-fi classic, TRON. While it opened to mixed reviews, the movie was praised for its visual effects, unique aesthetic and Daft Punk soundtrack.

This new Disney licensed set follows closely behind the recently released 21313 Ship in a Bottle. A special launch event will be held at the LEGO Store Leicester Square, London. Visitors to the venue will be able to buy 21314 TRON Legacy: Lightcycle two days ahead of its official released on March 29 and get the box signed by the project originators, BrickBrosUK.
