LEGO Ideas 40566 Ray the Castaway GWP now available

The latest LEGO Ideas gift-with-purchase set has washed up on our shores, with 40566 Ray the Castaway available from today.

Kickstarting October’s GWP offers is a brand-new set based on the winning design from the 2021 LEGO Ideas contest, ‘Do you want to go to the seaside?’ 40566 Ray the Castaway can be picked up to today with qualifying spends of £120 / $120 / €120 from LEGO.com and LEGO Stores until October 13.

The impressive and remarkably-detailed 239-piece set was originally created by DadiTwins and submitted as as an entry in last year’s competition. The model remains very true to the original fan design, with the build featuring a tiny desert island setting surrounded by water, as well as a raft, Ray the Castaway minifigure, parrot, crab and fish elements.

As it’s October 1, there are a number of new LEGO sets available from today that would qualify for the free 40566 Ray the Castaway GWP. Alternatively, you could wait until next week to pick up the promotional set alongside the launch of 75331 The Razor Crest, with the latest LEGO Star Wars UCS model arriving on October 3 for VIP members and for everyone else from October 7.
