Latest LEGO Ideas BTS Dynamite teaser will get stuck in your head

The LEGO Group has published a second teaser for its upcoming LEGO Ideas BTS Dynamite set, this time including a clip of the band’s hit single.

If you’re looking for a catchy earworm to get stuck in your head for the next few days, you’ll want to check out the latest social media tease for JBBrickFanatic and BangtanBricks’ upcoming BTS model. The pulsating clip features a brick-built graphic equalizer, presumably using colours that will be integral to the finished set, animated in time with the hook from the K-pop band’s acclaimed single Dynamite.

The 2020 song was BTS’s first number one hit in the US, and their first song recorded entirely in English. (It’s also one of the few songs that wasn’t written or produced by any band members.) And it’s the subject matter for JBBrickFanatics and BangtanBricks’ wildly successful LEGO Ideas project, which rocketed to 10,000 votes within a matter of days in May 2021.

Their initial concept recreates the setting for Dynamite’s music video, and it’s a brief that the LEGO Group has seemingly stuck pretty closely to – at least if this latest teaser is anything to go by. We’ll find out for sure in just under 24 hours, as a countdown at LEGO.com has already confirmed the final product will be revealed at 5am UK time on Thursday, February 16.

Come back to Brick Fanatics then for a first look at the latest LEGO Ideas set, and click here to check out the model’s first teaser, which (sort of) shows off all seven of its minifigures.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
