LEGO Ideas calls for builds related to 21327 Typewriter

The LEGO Ideas team is asking builders to come up with models of writing essentials that would sit happily with the newly-released 21327 Typewriter.

That’s the brief for the latest LEGO Ideas activity, which more specifically calls on users to create ‘writing essentials from another era’, just as 21327 Typewriter – based on a design by LEGO MASTERS UK winner Steve Guinness – builds into a functioning relic of a bygone time.

Unlike seeing an Ideas project reach the review stage and ultimately hit store shelves, there’s no tangible prize for participating in an Ideas activity. But the chance to get your hands on LEGO loot shouldn’t be the only driving force behind building – and this is the perfect excuse to break out those bricks if you’ve been itching for inspiration.

You’ve got until Tuesday, June 29 at 9am UK time to get your entry in. Head over to the activity page to read the full guidelines, submit your entry and check out all the other builds so far.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
