LEGO Jurassic Park 76956 T. rex Breakout sells out in the US

After a brief moment on back order, the only current LEGO set based on Jurassic Park has now sold out a day after it was released in the US.

10300 Back to the Future Time Machine and 76956 T. rex Breakout now have two things in common. First, they’re both licensed from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment and second, they’re both temporarily out of stock in the US as of April 18, 2022.

When 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine launched on April 1, it was quick to sell out around the world as the first Back to the Future LEGO model in some time. Now, one day after the release of the first LEGO Jurassic Park build since 75936 Jurassic Park: T. rex Rampage, 76956 T. rex Breakout is out of stock too. However, it’s only unavailable temporarily in the US.

Those in the region still hoping to grab the model might have to check with your local LEGO stores in case there is any surplus stock as the official online store is temporarily out of copies. Anyone in other regions such as the UK and Europe can still order the set, but a back order period means it won’t ship out for another 60 days or so.

With both sets featuring an iconic vehicle from cinema history – the DeLorean and the Ford Explorer, it might not be surprising to hear that they’ve been as popular as they have been. It could be that stock of 76956 T. rex Breakout will run dry in other regions following this, so it might be wise to put together an order unless you don’t mind waiting longer to start building.

In the meantime, at least one LEGO store has found some fun in 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine being out of stock.
