LEGO Looney Tunes rumoured for Collectible Minifigures
Brick Fanatics understands that one of next year’s LEGO Collectible Minifigures series will focus on Looney Tunes.
LEGO Collectible Minifigures offers a mix of licensed and non-licensed series of blind bag minifigures, with this year having seen DC, Series 20 and Harry Potter Series 2 released. Brick Fanatics has received information suggesting that Looney Tunes will be one of next year’s licensed series, bringing the animated characters to the LEGO brick for the very first time.
Warner Bros. started producing Looney Tunes cartoons in 1930, introducing its most famous character, Bugs Bunny, in the late 1930s. Since then, the characters have gone on to appear in hundreds of animated shorts, feature films, video games and theme park attractions.
Collectible Minifigures is no stranger to animated properties, having released two series of Disney characters as well as two series of The Simpsons. Iconic Looney Tunes characters that seem sure to be covered include Bugs, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd, Foghorn Leghorn, Tasmanian Devil and Sylvester the Cat.
As ever these are only rumours and should be treated as such until there is an official announcement from the LEGO Group.
It’s not the only recent product rumour, with 10275 Elf Clubhouse possibly coming to the Winter Village series, 10274 Ecto-1 expected to be part of LEGO Ghostbusters making a return and 10276 Colosseum also rumoured to be on the way this year.
