LEGO Manchester United Football Club products announced

Manchester United Football Club has announced a licensing agreement with the LEGO Group, suggesting that themed sets or Collectible Minifigures will be on the way.

In the club’s Q1 report, world renowned football club Manchester United has announced a partnership with the LEGO Group. Off the pitch has reported the news that was picked up by Hoth Bricks. Could this be the giant, detailed stadium set that fans have been waiting for? Or will key players be getting the minifigure treatment?

The deal is apparently a licensing agreement, which suggests that the LEGO Group will be producing Manchester United sets and/or Collectible Minifigures. “Our partnership with LEGO is a licensing agreement. More information on the partnership and some exciting new products will be released in the new year,” a club spokesperson told the website.

It will be the first time that the LEGO Group has worked to produce football based products since the special DFB Collectible Minifigures series. Given that images of the January 2020 sets have started to surface over recent days, it is likely that many Manchester United sets will arrive later in the year.
