LEGO Marvel 76187 Venom release date and price revealed

The LEGO Group has listed 76187 Venom on its official online store, revealing the villainous bust’s retail price and release date.

The first official images of the 18+ set arrived online earlier today, courtesy of a German retailer – and only slightly before the LEGO Group managed to upload them to its own online store. Small victories.

Not that we were totally in the dark over the companion piece to 76199 Carnage, anyway, because that red-and-black bust already inadvertently revealed a similar Venom model was in the works.

In any case, we now know that 76187 Venom will launch on April 26, alongside two brand new Star Wars helmets in 75304 Darth Vader Helmet and 75305 Scout Trooper Helmet, so if building LEGO models of objects shaped like human heads is your thing, you’re in for a bumper month.

As predicted given 76187 Venom is almost a straight recolour of 76199 Carnage, it will go toe-to-toe with its fellow symbiote on pricing at £54.99 / $59.99 / €59.99. You’ll have to wait a little while longer to get your hands on Cletus Kasady’s alter ego (unless you’re in the US), which won’t launch worldwide until May 1.
