LEGO Marvel Avengers: Endgame Thor set rumoured for 2021

A new LEGO Marvel set based on Thor’s house from Avengers: Endgame is rumoured to be on the way later this year.

Instagram user 1414falconfan reports that the model will be a store exclusive, and should retail for somewhere around $30. It’s also set to include at least three minifigures in Thor, Korg and Miek, so you can recreate Avengers: Endgame’s most brutal scene in bricks.

We’re talking, of course, about Thor’s takedown of Noobmaster69, the Fortnite player who really needs to learn the basics of online etiquette. If none of this is ringing any bells, hit play on the video below to remind yourself of the time the god of thunder totally let himself go.

If that’s the minifigure we can expect to see in this set, count us in. Korg would be a welcome addition to the Marvel minifigure roster too, especially given his role in Thor: Ragnarok (and the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder). Miek we could probably take or leave, but it would be interesting to see how the LEGO Group tackled the diminutive insectoid warrior.

Either way, it seems like a pretty unusual choice for a set all round, given it’s not exactly the most action-packed scene in the movie. (In fact, it probably sees the least action of any sequence in Avengers: Endgame.) Unless the LEGO Group just wants an excuse to give us a Fortnite sticker…

This is still only a rumour for now, so don’t take it as confirmation that we’re going to see Thor’s house this year. That will only come directly from the LEGO Group (or perhaps a third-party retailer, as these things are wont to happen), so keep an eye on Brick Fanatics in the months ahead for more as we get it.

If it does transpire, it’s likely that it will be branded as an ‘Infinity Saga’ set, in line with the rest of 2021’s rumoured revisiting of classic Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
