Taking inspiration from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum is a large-scale recreation of the headquarters of Doctor Strange. It typically carries an RRP of £214.99, but shopDisney are offering a 20% discount on orders over £70. That brings the price of 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum down to a cool £171.99 – or, to put it another way, a saving of £43. Delivery on this item is free from shopDisney, as the order is over £60.

Located in New York, the Sanctum Sanctorum helps to defend Earth from interdimensional threats. It is currently inhabited by Stephen Strange and Wong, with its most recent on-screen appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

76218 Sanctum Sanctorum takes inspiration from the Sanctum’s various on-screen appearances, with references to several Marvel movies around the set. The ground floor includes the Sanctum’s grand staircase, as well as references like a hand X-ray and Strange’s medical degree. Upper levels of the Sanctum feature bookshelves, a magical door that opens on different dimensions, and several artefacts – including a reference to the Monkie Kid theme.

The large scale of the building allows three wall sections to be rearranged; these feature a museum exhibit poster, the tentacled monster Gargantos, and a portal. This portal allows for unorthodox access into the Sanctum, and even allows a secret room on the ground floor (containing an Infinity Stone) to be revealed.

Nine minifigures are included in this set. Doctor Strange appears in classic, evil and undead versions, alongside Wong, Iron Man and Spider-Man. On the villain side we have Ebony Maw, Karl Mordo and Scarlet Witch; the latter two appear in their Multiverse of Madness outfits, and are very desirable as a result.

The building is also designed to connect to other LEGO sets, including 76178 Daily Bugle and 10278 Police Station – the latter being part of the Modular Buildings Collection. As such, if you’ve been collecting the LEGO Modular Buildings (or you’re a massive Marvel fan) this set is the perfect choice.
