LEGO MASTERS USA celebrity guests announced

The celebrity guests who will be dropping into LEGO MASTERS USA have been announced, making for a star-studded line-up.

LEGO MASTERS USA is heading to screens in just a few weeks – and if landing actor and LEGO Batman voice artist Will Arnett as host was not enough of a coup, celebrity guests will include The LEGO Movie writer/directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, actors Mayim Bialik, Terry Crews and Nicole Byer as well as BB-8, C-3PO and R2-D2.

The first episode will air on Wednesday, February 5 at 9.00pm ET/10.00pm PT on Fox. Ten pairs of builders will be challenged to bring their LEGO expertise to a series of tasks to see who will be crowned North America’s first LEGO MASTERS title holders.

Hollywood talents Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will bring their experience from The LEGO Movie and its sequels to a special episode that focuses on movie genres. It is not the only movie magic coming to the series though, with builders having to construct droids and scenes from Star Wars in an episode that will feature C-3PO and R2-D2 with BB-8.

Mayim Bialik, who plays Amy in The Big Bang Theory – a show that became a LEGO set in the LEGO Ideas theme – will be part of an episode focused on a space-themed building challenge. Terry Crews, who stars in Brooklyn Nine-Nine and recently built LEGO Star Wars 75095 TIE Fighter, will introduce a “Good vs. Evil” challenge that will impact the competition in a big way. Nicole Byer, best known for Nailed It!, will encourage storytelling with the brick in a “Story Book” themed episode.

LEGO MASTERS will premiere on Fox in the USA on Wednesday, February 5 at 9.00pm ET/10.00pm PT.
