LEGO Santa arrives at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort in his sleigh

A life-sized LEGO model of Santa Claus in his sleigh, pulled by eight reindeer, has been installed at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort.

The arrival of a 700,00 piece LEGO model depicting Father Christmas in his sleigh, along with eight brick built reindeer, marks the beginning of the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort’s Christmas season.

Here are the details from the LEGOLAND team:

On display at The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort for the first ever time, the impressive 15m long model is built from 700,000 LEGO bricks and took over a month to build. The spectacular sleigh model, loaded with LEGO presents, weighs 2,500kg – the equivalent of 500 turkeys or more than 5,000 Christmas puddings! It will welcome guests to this month’s Christmas at LEGOLAND event as they enter the Park.

Lauren Moss, Senior PR Manager at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort says: “The arrival of the LEGO Father Christmas and his reindeers at the Resort officially signals the start of our Christmas event. It’s a truly magical model and we can’t wait to see the reactions of our guests when they visit us this December.”

The festive new addition will join over 30 rides and attractions*, LEGO Christmas themed activities, music and magic set to delight families on select dates throughout December (2-3, 9-10 and 16-24 December).

Also in the park will be an enchanted Christmas Kingdom where little ones will meet Father Christmas in his magical grotto and receive a LEGO® Christmas gift. In Miniland, Christmas will come to life with miniature festive additions to London and Scotland, from a bustling LEGO Christmas market in Covent Garden to Father Christmas flying over Big Ben in his sleigh.

Tickets to the special Christmas themed days at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort can be ordered at the official website.
