Spider-Man sets based on No Way Home and Sam Raimi’s original trilogy – starring Tobey Maguire – may be on the way in 2022.

That’s according to Eurobricks user Flixter, who’s also reported the first word on a potential second

series for next year. The information apparently comes from a source that also revealed the return of LEGO , which we now know is definitely happening thanks to an online retailer.

At least three new LEGO Spider-Man sets are on the list of rumoured products: two small, and one big. The smaller sets ‘probably aren’t’ based on the newly-released Spider-Man: No Way Home, but Flixter tellingly hasn’t ruled out the same for the larger set.

The identity of those smaller two sets, meanwhile, could apparently be connected to Sam Raimi’s original Spider-Man trilogy of films from the ‘00s, which saw Tobey Maguire don the Spider-suit to face off against Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Sandman and Venom. Even the original source of these reports ‘isn’t sure’ about that one, though.

rumour, take everything here with – in Flixter’s words – ‘oceans of salt’, which is to say that it’s all completely unconfirmed until the LEGO Group gives us anything official.

That said, there’s clearly an appetite for Spider-Man among wider audiences (No Way Home is doing seriously big numbers at the box office, even in a pandemic), so the LEGO Group would be wise to capitalise on that with more sets beyond just
